Bear Creek Tweedler Lure

The Bear Creek Tweedler Lure is a odd looking lure at first glance. Most people are more familiar with the line of ice spearing Decoys that the Bear Creek Bait Company out of Kelva Michigan. The company started by two brother and a best friend. This wooden antique fishing lure was first produced in 1948 is roughly 2 1/4″ in length. The lures most distinct feature is it outward scoped front lip. The lures single line tie is mounted in the middle of the U shaped mouth. The lure employs the use of a wire rig harness to hold its two trailing treble hooks on each side of the lure. The antique lure was available in less than a half dozen colors paint schemes, two of which are shown in the lure galleries below.
